Goodwill Chair...

While we were at our oldest daughter's house for our grandson's birthday, all the girls decided to go to Goodwill to see if we could score some deals.  My daughter was hoping to find a chair to refurbish for extra seating for her living room.  We stumbled across this great sturdy chair that has beautiful carvings.  And it was only $25!  What a deal!  We removed the stained seat and sanded the shiny finish.

After wiping down the chair, we painted the chair with a cream colored paint that had primer in it.  It took four coats, but turned out like this.

My daughter had been looking at some fabric at JoAnn's for a year that she really liked but couldn't figure out how she could use it.  Turns out, it was perfect for covering the seat.

The paint and fabric cost $35, bringing the total cost for this one-of-a-kind chair to $60.  Pretty sweet!
