God is Transcendent...

That sounds like a new age term.  But let's look at the definition for transcendent from Webster's Dictionary - exceeding usual limits; extending or lying beyond the limits of ordinary experience; being beyond the limits of all possible experience and knowledge; being beyond comprehension; transcending the universe or material existence.

The following verse sheds some light on this attribute:

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.
"As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Isaiah 55:8-9

God is not a human.  We are so small and insignificant compared to Him.  And yet, He loves us.  Amazing!

Crafts
Today's craft is another toddler game that is also a learning experience.  You can print the game, Shapes Hunt and Match, off the toddlertoddler.com website.  You simply "hide" the colored shapes in a room and your toddler finds each shape and matches them to the outlined shape on the master paper.  This game teaches shapes and colors with the added bonus of getting the wiggles out because your toddler is moving.

Today's Recipe - Fantastic Mexican Sauce
My original recipe

10 oz. can mild Rotel
1 tsp minced garlic
1/2 tsp cumin
1 tsp sugar or 1 pkg stevia
1 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp butter

Pour the Rotel into a small saucepan and cook over medium heat until reduced.  Add garlic, cumin, sugar, vinegar and butter and cook 2 minutes.  Serve over meat with sliced avocados and sliced steamed or sauteed yellow summer squash.  Yum!
